Board of Directors

Paul Mallatt

Pronouns: He/Him/His
What brings me joy is listening to people’s stories and those stories have lead me to social justice work. I am currently enrolled in a program through the University of Redlands to be a spiritual director. I am also a flight attendant based out of Oakland, California, and through that work I am a veteran member of my employer’s Critical Incident Response Team.
I received most of my nonprofit fundraising experience training as a Volunteer Coordinator in the mid-1990s at Glide United Methodist Church, located in the heart of the Tenderloin District, in San Francisco, where thousands of hot meals were offered three times daily.
Most recently, I am a 2021 graduate of Best Skills/Best Churches, a non-profit management training program offered through Arizona State University, Lodestar Center.
I am an aspirant for the Diaconate, and if ordained I hope to live out our Baptismal Covenant by working in Sonoma County to alleviate hunger and homelessness, with an emphasis on LGBTQ+ folks, with an emphasis on issues that affect our transgender community and youth.
I am a former small business owner with extensive experience in operating a family-owned bakery.
